  • (a)

    The city adopts by reference, as if fully set forth in this section, minimum housing standards, enforceable within territorial limits of the city, comprising of certain substantive provisions of the Miami-Dade County Minimum Housing Standards Ordinance and rules, regulations, standards and codes adopted by reference in connection therewith, as amended from time to time, particularly Miami-Dade County Code sections 17-1, 17-2, 17-3, 17-6, 17-8, 17-10, and 17-23 through and including 17-30.1. Such provisions, rules, regulations, standards and codes shall be known as the city minimum housing code, a copy of which shall be filed in the office of the city clerk for reference.

    (b)

    References to Miami-Dade County officials or jurisdiction in the adopted provisions of the Miami-Dade County Code shall correspond to similar officials or jurisdiction of the city. As so used in the adopted provisions of the Miami-Dade County Code, the term "minimum housing enforcement officer" or "head of enforcement agency" shall mean the director of code compliance of the city and the term "minimum housing appeals board" shall mean the code enforcement board of the city.
