§ 62-25. Use of playing fields for leagues or tournaments.

(a)

Fees and services. Hourly fees and city services for the use of playing fields for leagues and tournaments shall be as follows:

Hourly fees for the use of playing fields in the city parks, including those fields at Bucky Dent, Sparks, Bright, Milander, Cotson, Goodlet, Wilde, Walker, and Babcock Parks and at Hialeah and Filer Middle Schools for softball leagues and tournaments shall be as follows, this excludes the baseball fields at Hialeah-Miami Lakes High School and Milander Park:

Daytime, per hour, per field ..... $15.00

b.

Nighttime, per hour, per field ..... 20.00

Services to be provided by the city shall include the lining of base paths, setting of bases, dragging of fields and the use of the concession stand by the entity sponsoring the tournament.

(b)

Cleanup fee. All tournament users shall post a refundable cleanup fee of $200.00 prior to conducting the tournament.

(c)

Frequency of use. All entities, individuals, or organizations sponsoring softball tournaments in city parks, including when cosponsored by the city, shall only be permitted to utilize city facilities once per year.

(d)

Park development fund. All revenues which exceed expenses shall be dedicated to a park development fund.

(e)

Applicability. This section shall not apply to youth leagues, city-sponsored events or leagues where the city does not provide the services mentioned in this section.
