§ 74-57. Termination of legal nonconforming signs.

  • (a)

    Abandonment. Abandonment of a legal nonconforming sign shall terminate its nonconforming status.

    (b)

    Damage or poor condition. The legal nonconforming status of a sign shall cease whenever the sign is damaged beyond 50 percent of its replacement value, as determined by the director, from any cause whatsoever or to the extent the sign becomes a hazard or danger.

    (c)

    Removal. Abandoned and damaged signs, as described in this section, shall be removed in accordance with section 74-2.
